Čierne diery (The Black Holes) is a Risographic collective from Slovakia focused on architectural heritage. Their books and graphics have become a true collector’s phenomenon in Slovakia, all of them acquired by Slovak National Gallery. So far more than 90 authors from the Slovak visual arts, illustration and graphic design fields have collaborated on the series consisting of more than 280 graphics. The association’s members include editor Martin Lipták, journalist Andrej Sarvaš, urbanist Lívia Gažová, graphic and type designer Michal Tornyai, historian Lukáš Patera, graphic designer Barbara Kowalczuková, and architect Miroslav Beňák. Čierne diery has been recognized multiple times for their work, including receiving the Slovak Design Award.
