Massimo Polello lives and works in Turin in his studio ABC atelier and has been involved in calligraphy and lettering design for over 20 years. As a graphic art-designer he designs calligraphic logotypes, numerous commissions of calligraphic works for interior designers: stands, art exhibitions and fairs, commercial premises, hotels, private homes.
As an artist he regularly teaches workshops and he exhibits his works nationally and internationally.
He has given workshops at major institutions: School of Visual Arts New York, Concordia University and UQUAM Montréal, Adobe in San Francisco, he has been invited to International Conferences of Type Designers in Moscow, Istanbul, São Paulo. He has been invited to teach for 5 years at International Conferences in the USA.
He is an honorary member of Letter Exchange in London and he collaborated with La Sapienza University in Rome and Biblioteca Laurenziana in Florence. He collaborated with Peter Greenaway and Luca Ronconi.
His most recent commissions include a fine limited edition book for the RIJKS Museum in Amsterdam. He is currently president and teacher at the Turin Calligraphy Association “Dal Segno alla Scrittura”.
