THE CONTEST
For this year’s Graphic Days In The City, whose focus is the all-around world of printing, comes the 3D printing workshop organized by AnAlphaBeta Studio in collaboration with Principi ADV, which provides space and resources to be able to give the highest quality in this experience.
The event aims to push participants to interact and come up with an idea from a secret theme discovered at the beginning of the contest, turn it in, and discover the winning idea at the end of the evening!
At the end of it all, there will be a winner who will take home a prize modeled and printed especially for the event and all the honors on the website and social media. A few special mentions might slip through, so don’t give up!
You’ll get to meet new people from different industries and worlds, exchange ideas, work in groups or even alone, as you please.
You don’t need to know how to model (you can if you want!), just a sketch on a sheet of paper,
a photo, and off you go, upload to the contest form!
Timelines? How long you take is entirely up to you: you can have an idea and sketch it on the fly and upload it, or team up and spend a few hours on your computer on it until the last, the choice is yours!
THE SPACE
Thanks to Principi ADV and its open space, there will be space to spare to browse, sit, work or converse.
TEACHING
During the workshop you will learn techniques and good tips on how you might build your project, because yes, two lines on how it works and one on convincing us it stands are mandatory! The teaching area is open throughout the contest.
One table, the materioteca, will be designated to the exhibition of models made, materials used and 3D printers.
TALKS
Included in the middle of the workshop are two talks with two guests who will bring their know-how about 3D printing by showing their work and telling us about their experience.
WHERE AND WHEN.
The event will take place courtesy of the space provided by the Principi ADV agency, Via Antonio Banfo 41 – Turin.
The space will be open from 4:30 to 10 p.m.
