In a digital world governed by keyframes and velocity curves, how can we rediscover our connection with materiality and drawing? Gianluca Alla, an Italian graphic designer who lives and works in London, will talk about his projects where motion design and tangible reality merge, and video frames, translated into unconventional and physical forms, come to life on various physical supports, even the most unexpected ones: from flip books to… rugs.
Typography and simple shapes are the main tools of his work, with which he creates unique graphic systems and images. Gianluca has designed animations, visual identities, illustrations, and posters for Apple, It’s Nice That, London College of Communication, Nike, The New York Times, Pinterest, and Wired UK, among others.
During the talk, there will be an exhibition at Illo, where attendees can see his “frames” in A4 format and other materials.
