San Salvario is liberty style, it’s the former adult cinema in Maffei street, it’s the porticoes of Nizza street, it’s the Valentino’s park, it’s the Colosseo theater’ Street Art, it’s Piazza Madama market. San Salvario is well imprinted in old 50s and 60s photos, but above all it’s a thousand of different souls that today come to life in everyone’s imagination.
How’s your San Salvario? We wanted to begin with archive images and overlap nowdays photos. So, we want to make all San Salvario layers visible. It’s a perfect meeting between past and present, looking for a more intimate neighborhood. We are going to use a very old tool, the calcographic press, and a new technique, Gum Print. Gum Print is an hand printing of a photographic image which makes the final result a unique piece.
The works will be exhibited in an engraving lab where you can try the Gum Print art printing technique with us, to create an original and personal print of the neighborhood.
