Elena D’Oria and Giorgio Fasano are two ceramists who have combined both their private lives and their creative activity, founding their workshop at Vicolo della Consolata 4 in the heart of the Roman quadrilateral in Turin. Elena on the occasion of Graphic Days 2023 will present, as a preview, her new work “Traslucenze” objects made of the finest English porcelain with image transfer through the use of an ancient typographic method and the application of decorative papers, imported from Japan, and pure gold graphic elements. Giorgio will propose a production of sculptures on the theme, “the relationship between the animal world and man-made space.” The proposed works are made of stoneware and porcelain.
The collaboration between the two ceramists has also resulted in “Filastrocche,” a work that, through the interaction of whimsical characters and pottery forms, recounts everyday life in a “rhyming world.”
