On display at the Docks74 exhibition space of “Il cerchio e le Gocce” cultural association there are a series of mycelium sculptures depicting guns that become the symbol of a purifying operation. The works, composed of Ganoderma Lucidum, a mushroom known in Chinese culture as the mushroom of immortality, generate a visual short circuit, where form and content collide in their antitheses. Thus an instrument of death is decomposed and deprived of its violent nature to become an integral part of the forest system, a kind and positive perspective for the future in a historical period with many dark sides.
