Niki Scheijen (1996, Maastricht) is a Dutch interactive media designer based in Rotterdam. Fascinated by technology since a young age, she has the urge to unravel it’s complexities and the impact it has on our everyday lives. In her works she embraces the charm of obsolete technologies and the beauty found within glitches, algorithms, noise, and errors. Under her alter ego VJ Nikilia she is a performer of live visual sets, using code, analog video devices and DIY techniques to generate unique visuals on the fly, blurring the lines between design and live performance.
