The installation, created in collaboration with Kave Home, is a tribute to Kübra Gümüşay’s essay LANGUAGE AND BEING.
On the occasion of the tenth edition of GRAPHIC DAYS, as part of the In the City initiative, LIQUIDOSTUDIO presents an intervention titled Yakamoz.
Yakamoz is the Turkish word that refers to the moon’s reflection on the water.
To identify a concept with its name means to recognize it, to be aware of its existence: a first step towards understanding and embracing it.
In our society, which defines itself as multicultural, adopting a conscious use of language can mean expressing a united, supportive humanity that does not ignore differences.
The installation, made possible with the support of SOLIDO COLLETTIVO, features a Morse code message that is a transliteration of a passage from the essay. It addresses, from a crucial and urgent point of view, the theme of the festival: Love, Now!—the idea of language as a fundamental tool for inclusion and understanding.
The installation will be on view until May 18
