Chiara Allione

When she draws, she is happy.
And she draws everywhere.

Chiara Allione is an illustrator and textile artist whose work is primarily influenced by her experience as a woman in today’s world, intertwined with the stories of other uterus-bearing people she has encountered in life and literature. She strongly believes in building a new, more inclusive and less stereotyped narrative, seeking new visual languages that can one day make it truly possible to be anything one desires—without glass ceilings to break. Passionate about bold colors and exaggerated shapes, she is committed to making her work highly sustainable by using recycled or repurposed materials and low-impact techniques. Through her project Un’altra vita (Another Life), she gives new life to vintage and second-hand garments, transforming them into unique pieces through embroidery and printing with plant-based inks.
