The Graphic Days® Festival is an event dedicated to Italian and international visual design that, since 2016, has involved the most relevant artists, professionals, and studios on the international scene.
The Theme
“A kind of future” is an invitation to think about the future through creativity, placing kindness at the center of every design action.
“A kind of future” is primarily a hypothesis of the future, focusing on the use of new languages and the enhancement of creativity and young talents. Experimentation is understood in a 360° way, ranging from the creative and innovative decontextualized use of common objects to the most cutting-edge technologies based on artificial intelligence and the development of new tools. “A kind future” is the second interpretation of the festival: a future that places kindness at the center, where attention to people and the planet is the primary goal of every design action.
The ninth edition of the international visual and social design festival Graphic Days® took place from May 16 to 26 at the Flashback Habitat spaces in Turin. An exhibition path, a permanent workspace, and a calendar of events including conferences, workshops, live performances, DJ sets, and activities for children, at the main venue and spread throughout the city, will interpret the title “A kind of future” through two perspectives.
Live Printing: a permanent open workspace curated by Print Club Torino, accessible to everyone.
An exhibition path divided into 20 exhibitions to present the creative perspectives of visual language through various forms of experimentation.
A calendar of events featuring workshops, talks, performances, concerts, a market exhibition, and a section of initiatives dedicated to schools and families.
The city-wide schedule “In the city”: on May 17 and 24, local design studios opened their doors to the public, offering exhibitions, conferences, and activities related to visual arts and cross-contamination.
The conference program consists of 8 talks, a rich schedule of events that intensifies over the weekend. Communication agencies, designers, and artists have shared their projects and creative paths to reflect on the future of design and the work of creatives, with attention to the social responsibilities of designers.
