Three urban regeneration projects in three schools in the northern outskirts of Turin
Mini Mega Spazio goes to Barriera
Social Design
Creative workshops with children, two urban art interventions in collaboration with families, and new plantings: the Mini Mega Spazio project reaches a new milestone thanks to the support of To Dream Urban District. It involves three schools in the Barriera di Milano and Barriera di Stura neighborhoods in Turin: Scuola dell’Infanzia Barca on Via Vittime di Bologna, Scuola dell’Infanzia Principessa di Piemonte on Via Paisiello, and Scuola dell’Infanzia La Pineta on Via Ghedini.
Creative workshops
The children of Scuola dell’Infanzia Barca and Scuola dell’Infanzia Principessa di Piemonte took part in creative activities both within their schools and at the spaces of To Dream Urban District. Through imagination, they explored the landscape and the surrounding environment, reflecting on the role of trees and the benefits they provide to the air, insects, and animals.

The Planting
New trees have been planted in the gardens of the three schools involved in the project, thanks to the collaboration with Neò Natura su misura. The children had the opportunity to observe the process and learn how to take care of them. The green interventions were made possible by the Abracadabra crowdfunding initiative by Graphic Days®.
Openview
Graphic Days® also curated the Openview project for To Dream Urban District, created to raise awareness on social and current issues through art and visual design.
The initiative took shape through three main actions: the creation of the mural Look up, the future, the promotion of a contest for young creatives under 35, and the transformation of five storefronts in the shopping center into an open-air art gallery.
