On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Turin being named a UNESCO Creative City of Design, Graphic DaysⓇ and Print Club Torino took part in some of the initiatives included in the schedule of events dedicated to design that accompanied the public until October 26.

A design workshop curated by Print Club Torino and Torino Urban Lab to visually narrate and represent the emotions and feelings aroused by different places in Turin. The aim is to create a participatory work that, through the stratification of signs, languages and printing techniques, shows an alternative point of view on the city.

A choral work, coordinated by Print Club Torino, to lead the participants through the phases of conception, development and printing of a fanzine, an agile editorial product, but full of content. Some starting graphic resources are available, while other more personal suggestions can be obtained from a “capture guerrilla” session in the morning.

A lecture by Silvana Amato, an Italian graphic designer specialized in editorial and cultural projects and who boasts collaborations with important publishing houses, cultural institutions and museums. Drawing inspiration from the presentation of her projects, the designer will address the concept of material culture to underline the importance of materials (paper and writing) in the process of development and circulation of ideas.
