Life bass // Zofia Działkowska

The work was created a year ago in 2023. It talks about the chaos of communication and its natural solution. It was not sent to other competitions. It has never been exhibited anywhere.

Concept:
The work is very experimental and results from the interplay of elements until I felt that everything worked together. The main topic is communication, especially inspired by my friendship with a friend from Peru. We speak two different languages – Polish and Spanish, and the language that connects us is English and partly Italian. Sometimes, I think that Valeria has a different world built based on words that are so distant to me. She could send me messages that I didn’t understand at all, but they still maintained the feeling for me. In my work, I wanted to reproduce the chaos and labyrinth that sometimes accompanies us when trying to express ourselves in another language.

Bio:
I grew up in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. I graduated from Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan in Graphic Design and Art Direction. Currently I am doing my Masters in Photography and Visual Design. I find beauty and inspiration in countless forms of art and design – from hand- or digital-drawing to video making, to even further – dance and movement. My creativity is my safe space built by my head, which daily creates multitude of ideas and never stops. I want my works to speak for themselves and to open up even the coldest people.
