Betterpress Lab is a printing lab with movable type and graphic art, an independent activity that was born in Rome in 2014 after studies and research by Francesca Cologne and Julia Nicolai.
Through the recovery of traditional printing techniques, tools and typographic art machinery, Betterpress proposes a search for new forms of visual communication through hand prints made with original characters (posters, flyers, business cards, stationery) , workshops and courses.
“The time it takes” is our translation of the “Festina Lente” of Aldo Manuzio: an internal time, human. A form of protest, a small daily battle.
