FN mostra Centopagine
The exhibition organized by FN, a website dedicated to editorial and literary critics, curated by Marta Occhipinti and Andrea Vendetti, is about the act of publishing literary series as a curatorial intervention.
Between 1971 and 1985, Italo Calvino was managing the Einaudi “Centopagine” literary collection, which renovated literature through its 77 instalments. Bruno Munari, the renowed graphic designer, developed a playful and accurate project to enhance the work of Calvino.
The website federiconovaro.eu is publishing weekly all the book covers and a series of critical essays as well as bibliographies and tools to get in touch with this unique project.
The exhibition, which took place in the courtyard of 31, via Baretti, is the first of many stops on a tour around Italy. All 77 volumes were presented in a rare way which allows the public to appreciate the work of Bruno Munari and Max Huber, who worked on the graphic design of some of the volumes.
The catalogue – designed by Christel Martinod – shows the bibliographic notes of the volumes, the curators’ contents and all the covers of the books.
