Ilaria Urbinati is an Italian illustrator based in Torino. She studied Illustration at IED Torino, getting also a Master degree in Animation. She works as an illustrator since 2007, starting her career as a designer and colorist in animated films: among the productions she worked with in the role of character designer, there is Geronimo Stilton I and Geronimo Stilton II. Since 2012 she works as a freelancer in illustrated editorial projects for the main children’s publishers in Italy. Her books are published by Disney, Mondadori, DeAgostini, Loescher, Pearson, Giunti, Piemme, EDT, ELI readers and Libertyreaders. Her editorial activity is coupled with illustration works for ADV and communication projects, and since 2016 she works with national magazines such as La Stampa and Il Corriere della Sera. Along with illustration, she follows a teaching activity with Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Idea Academy (Roma) and Scuola Holden. Since January 2018 she is professor of Illustration at IAAD in Torino.
