Inchiostro Festival

Inchiostro Festival is a performative cultural event dedicated to illustration, calligraphy and art printing. It takes place every year on the first weekend of June, and its format is Black and White. All the artists gather inside a XII-century cloister in Alessandria, creating, passing the night, sharing ideas, showing their abilities and engaging the public with workshops and live performances. The Battle of illustrators and the illustrated reimagining of famous movies are some of the festival’s formats. The main aim of this event is to promote manual skills in the most known form of craftsmanship: from paper to ink through different printing techniques. The audience, walking under the porches of the cloister, can witness the whole creative process.
