Rene Wawrzkiewicz

Rene Wawrzkiewicz is a graphic designer, design researcher and curator, he’s active in the field of visual communication starting from marks, diagrams and infographics, from editorial design design of complex visual ID systems. He’s specialized in social, political and cultural projects. He cooperated with the center of social communication in Warsaw and Amnesty International Poland. He holds a bachelor degree at the Warsaw academy of fine arts, he’s the co-curator of MamaStudio (2001) and co-founder of Association of Applied Graphic Designers (STGU) (2004). He founded the Design Critique platform, the first think tank in Poland, dedicated to design culture in central and oriental Europe. He’s professor in the program of communication and design at School of Form at the SWPS University.
