Chiara Riva is an Italian calligrapher and graphic designer. In 2012 she studied type design in Milan, where her passion for letters has started. In 2015 one of her calligraphic works was displayed during the 5th edition of the International Festival “Arsenal Book Festival” in Kyiv. In 2016 she designed the calligraphic cover for ACI (Italian Calligraphic Association) calendar, and she was one of the guests at the “Inchiostro Festival” in Alessandria. In 2017 she worked for Editori Laterza, asked to realize the calligraphy on the cover of the book “Metafisica”(Biblioteca filosofica, Editori Laterza). During the same year, Chiara was a guest of the second edition of Graphic Days Torino and some of her works were published in the Alphabet magazine (vol.43, n.2). In 2018 she participated as a relator in the occasion of the Outdoor Festival in Rome and she was invited to become a tutor of the workshop held in Paris, promoted by the association Barbedor. At present, she works as a graphic designer and freelance calligrapher between Rome and Milan and teaches at the Italian Calligraphy Association.
