Attraversare i muri

The Goethe-Institut will be hosting 65 drawings and collages created by the students of five schools of Turin, along the video narration by Renato Di Gaetano, for a project on walls and borders.
Walls have an ancient origin and investigating their purpose and meaning with the students means working towards a mindset looking for answers that will help us overcome prejudice.
1989, the year in which the Berlin Wall came down, was the starting point of the research that immediately entwined with the lives of the students that face on a daily basis the problems linked to social inclusion and exclusion. At the end of this project the students expressed their thoughts in drawings.

On October 17th, Chiara Magni introduced the short film “Aprire le Istituzioni non è aprire una porta, ma la nostra testa”, realized by the students attending Centro Sperimentale Cinematografico in Turin. They explained the whole process from the beginning to the production.
