AIAP, (Italian Association for Communication Designers) gathers designers, researchers, and students from the Italian visual communication field. It promotes and develops the culture of the profession related to graphic design projects through a wide program of projects, events, professional training and through its Center of Documentation on “Progetto Grafico” (CDPG). AIAP’s commitment actualizes itself through the creation of spaces in which associates can confront each other and enrich their knowledge. It also promotes, both nationally and internationally, the profession of the designer, its recognition and the setting of a shared cultural platform. AIAP provides schools, institutions, and companies with consultancy services in order to create study programs, competitions, calls for papers, believing that design and visual communication can improve the production and the tools used to access knowledge and culture. It also contributes to raising awareness of the value and the responsibilities of communication nowadays.
