Based in Paris, Spassky Fischer is a graphic design studio founded in 2014 by Hugo Anglade, Thomas Petitjean, and Antoine Stevenot. Manon Bruet, graphic designer, and Marion Bothorel, studio manager, join the team thereafter.
Combining graphic design, artistic direction, and photography, Spassky Fischer works mainly in artistic and cultural fields. Their production includes numerous catalogs of exhibitions – for the Museum of Modern Art of the city of Paris, the Jeu de Paume, the Musée d’Orsay, Editions Flammarion, or Hatje Cantz – but also collaborations with visual artists, like Benoit Maire, Christophe Lemaitre, Natacha Nisic and, more recently, Eva Barto and Kader Attia. The studio is also in charge of the communication of MAC VAL (Museum of Contemporary Art of Val-de-Marne) and, since 2016, the communication of Mucem (Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations) in Marseille.
Thomas Petitjean, Antoine Stevenot, Manon Bruet, Marion Bothorel
After studying architecture and visual communication, Thomas Petitjean founded Hey Ho in 2005. The studio is known for revamping the layout of the Particules newspaper, and the collections of the publishing house Galaade. In 2011, Thomas became director of the graphic design agency Maquette & Mise en page, where he was quickly joined by Hugo Anglade when he graduated from École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Lyon. Together they created the new communication system of the MAC VAL, Museum of Contemporary Art of Val-de-Marne. After graduating from the École Estienne and collaborating with several Parisian studios, Antoine Stevenot joined Thomas and Hugo at Maquette & Mise en page. They worked on numerous exhibition catalogs, most notably for French art museums, and the publishing house Flammarion. Following this collaboration, they founded Spassky Fischer in 2014. Two years later, Manon Bruet joined them, after the completion of her degree at École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Lyon.
